The Gender trap by Emily Wayne and Lorber- Night to his day

Wayne in Gender trap describes how parents contribute to the structure of the genders of their children. She goes ahead and states how marketing companies manufacture different slogans on expected males or female babies differently. This is in contrast to how society structures the surrounding of different genders. Wayne talks about Christine, a mother who understands that it is mostly rooted in their (sons and daughters) nature, the act that her son loved trucks, building and the blocks while her daughter goes to dancing classes and loves dressing up. It is the same as Lorber stated in Nigh to his day claiming how men and women act differently, how they are supposed to have different expectations from society. Lorber, explicitly confirms how the society construes crossdressing, unisexual apparels etc. as confusing as they suppose there is no identity to it. He also talks about transvestite and transsexual and states that an individual’s biological body may not equate with how they feel.

Lorber states how Sexual difference is itself a fundamental – a scientifically contested - construction. Both 'sex' and 'gender' are woven of multiple, asymmetrical strands of difference, charged with multifaceted dramatic narratives of domination and struggle while Wayne claims how small physiological differences in boys and girls are magnified greatly when they interact with already gendered societal purview.
