Navigating Sex in the ‘Gray Zone’

A bad Sexual encounter?
Or sexual harassment? Jessica projects light on an issue that is roaring. An
area which is subjective and undetermined to human nature. She explains what
this “grey zone” is under the ambit of MeToo movement. She states how a particular
kind of sexual encounter can be viewed as sexual harassment signalling towards The
Aziz Ansari’s story. A story where a woman goes out to dinner with a comedian and
ends up in his apartment where she was suggested to “chill out on the couch” where
Aziz sat and pointed towards his penis and mentioned her to go down on him all
the while, as uncomfortable as it gets, the women didn’t know how to get out of
the situation and left crying all the while where Aziz was enjoying his thoughts
about consensual sexual pleasure.
This grey area
is something that is persisting and impending. It’s overwhelming as well as
confusing and there is no sure short answer to this dilemma neither there will
be. Even unity cannot provide justice to a victim, male or female. Let’s say
there is a harassment case on a corporate firm’s CEO, and the employees decide
to leave the company still it wouldn’t render the company or the man who harassed
in utter loss of respect, money or any other wise. A grey area always stays a
grey area but it would fulfill the soul of everyvictims if they are simply understood
and heard.
